The .MOV Film Festival is an annual short film festival organized by Folkets Husby in Stockholm, focusing on showcasing filmmakers from Sweden’s suburban areas. The festival aims to provide a platform for stories created by people in communities that often receive insufficient attention within the film industry.
The third edition of the .MOV Film Festival is scheduled to take place on February 7–8, 2025. The submission period for the short film competition is open until December 15, 2024. The festival welcomes filmmakers aged 18–35 to submit their films, which should be between 3 and 15 minutes long.
FOLKETS HUSBY
During the festival, submissions compete for the prestigious Getpriset, a statuette designed by local artists. The jury comprises individuals with experience and backgrounds that reflect those of the participants, ensuring a deeper understanding of the stories being presented.
